How to get a Wyoming voter list for your campaign

Step by step

1. Find your district. Check your qualifying paperwork or your county elections office for the exact district, ward or precinct your race covers.
2. Order the matching list from your county clerk. Fill out your county clerk's Voter Registry List Request Form, sign the oath that you are a candidate and will use the list for political purposes only, attach proof that you are a candidate, and pay before the data is released. State legislative lists come from the Secretary of State at elections@wyo.gov. Use the table below to pick the right list.
3. Get your file. Usually by email once your payment and oath are received. The Secretary of State emails the file or uploads it to a Dropbox folder you name, in both text and Excel format. Printed lists cost extra where offered (Albany County charges $18 plus 25 cents a page).

Tips before you order

• Attach proof that you are a candidate, such as your filed application for nomination. Every form asks for evidence of eligibility.
• Call your county clerk first. Each county sets its own fees and options, and some email lists free while others charge by the list.
• Wyoming registry lists do not include voting history, so you cannot filter to past voters from the list alone.
• During absentee voting, ask for the daily absentee file so you can skip voters who have already requested or returned a ballot.
• If you share the list with anyone, the oath requires you to tell them it cannot be used commercially.
