Find your district. Check your qualifying paperwork or your county elections office for the exact district, ward or precinct your race covers.
Order the matching list from the Washington Secretary of State. Fill out the online Voter Registration Database Extract request on the Secretary of State's website and choose the statewide file or a single county. There is no fee. Use the table below to pick the right list.
Get your file. An email with a download link once your request is approved. You can ask VRSupport@sos.wa.gov for a CD instead. The file is a zipped set of text files that you unzip before opening.

Who can order it

Anyone may request it (RCW 29A.08.720). You may use it for any political purpose, but not to mail or deliver commercial advertising or ask for money outside a political purpose. Misuse is a class C felony, and anyone who receives the file must take reasonable precautions against that misuse (RCW 29A.08.740).

Tips before you order

Only the Secretary of State releases voter data now. Since a March 2026 law, county elections offices send voter list requests to the state.
The file only has precinct, legislative and congressional district columns. For a city, school board or county district, download the Districts to Precincts file and keep the precincts listed under your district.
Voting history comes as two separate files, each covering two years, matched to voters by State voter ID.
A statewide file has more rows than Excel can open, so ask for your county's file if your race is inside one county.
The extract is refreshed on the first business day of each month. Voting history is updated the month after an election is certified.
Phone numbers and email are not public in Washington. Collect them at the door and record them in CampaignKnock as you go.
